Julian has over 30 years’ experience in mindfulness meditation and is the creator and founder of Social Dhamma, a system for applying mindfulness in counselling, groupwork and community development. Julian is passionate about facilitating group processes to empower individuals to offer their unique gifts and talents in building conscious relationships, organizations and communities.

Meditation & Mindful Communication

Julian offers 2 mindfulness meditation classes plus one facilitated mindful group discussion per day, to help deepen your self-awareness and enhance meaningful connections with other guests, for mutual support and empowerment throughout your retreat.

Through skillfully guided mindfulness meditations, you will deepen into present moment awareness, feeling and releasing attachment to any worries or stress you may be holding onto, as you return to your natural state of inner peace and harmony.

Mindfulness calms the mind, enhances the senses and deepens communication, enabling us to suspend judgment as we listen attentively to each other and express ourselves freely and honestly. Those opting for a longer retreat will have opportunities to learn and practice the skills of mindful communication, which can be applied lifelong in all kinds of relationships.
